In 1997, Rob quit his Psychology PhD in the UK (after the first week!) to move to Australia and surf. He joined the world of advertising, rising to become Chief Strategy Officer of a global agency. After a series of leadership roles, Rob launched his own business in 2013, with a mission to help the world make better decisions. He discovered that the best way to improve decision-making is to work with leadership teams - to help them define and execute their business strategy.

Having worked with 50+ teams and hundreds of leaders, he wrote the book Unlock: Leveraging the Hidden Intelligence in Your Leadership Team to help leaders build teams which are smarter than the sum of their parts.

Rob lives by the beach in Sydney with his wife and three daughters, and is a keen runner (did his first marathon in April 2026), golfer and surfer.
